what we're about
Since 1999, we’ve been helping businesses get things sorted. We’ve stayed in business for two simple reasons. We do good work and we’re easy to deal with – and so our clients stick around. Most of our projects come from referrals and repeat customers, which tells us we’re doing something right.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our services, built hundreds of sites and partnered with companies across a wide range of industries. What hasn’t changed is our approach. We take the time to understand what you need, we explain things clearly, and we deliver work you can rely on.
Personal, down-to-earth service
When you work with Redback, you deal directly with the people doing the work. No barriers, no ticket systems, no disappearing acts. Need something done? You pick up the phone, and we sort it. We design until you’re happy, not until a revision limit says stop, because we care about the outcome, not the clock.
Flexible solutions that fit your business
Experienced, but always improving
Clear, honest communication
We don’t hide behind jargon or buzzwords. You’ll always know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it and what it means for your business. If something isn’t worth doing, we’ll say so. If we think there’s a better option, we’ll tell you. Our job is to help you make good decisions, not sell you work you don’t need.

Frequently asked questions
Why we use Shopify for almost every eCommerce project
Why Shopify and not WooCommerce?
We choose Shopify because it is purpose-built for online retail. It is secure, scalable and far less maintenance-heavy than many alternatives.
While we occossionaly recommend WooCommerce for stores with a very small number of items, for businesses focused on selling products, Shopify is often the most reliable long-term solution.
Read more about why we choose Shopify in our recent article.
How long does it take to build an online store?
Most standard stores take between 4 and 8 weeks depending on product numbers and complexity.
More advanced builds can take longer.
Can I manage the store myself?
Will my store work on mobile?
Absolutely. Most online purchases now happen on mobile devices. Every store we build is thoroughly checked on mobile devices.
How involved do I need to be?
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Can you help me transfer my site from another platform?
Yes. We’ve helped previous clients move from other platforms such as Magento and OpenCart, to help you migrate your information over easily.
How much does a website cost?
Every project is different, so costs depend on scope and requirements. As a general guide, our ecommerce sites typically start from £2,500, and we’ll always provide a clear, honest quote before any work begins.
