McCord Machinery are one of the UK and Ireland’s leading suppliers of new and used agricultural machinery. They also supply a large range of parts, tools and spares. Their existing website was falling down the search ranking and sales were few and far between.

A clearer, stronger position in search

As the business continued to grow, the objective was to strengthen McCord Machinery’s online presence and create a more structured, performance-focused eCommerce platform. The goal was to improve search visibility, make navigation more intuitive for customers and provide a scalable system that could properly support ongoing digital sales.

We rebuilt the website in Shopify, migrated the existing product catalogue and refined the site architecture to better align with how customers search for agricultural machinery online.

The new website was developed in Shopify, providing a stable and scalable eCommerce foundation designed specifically for managing extensive product ranges. All products were carefully migrated from the previous system to ensure continuity while improving categorisation and overall structure.

Navigation was redesigned to feel more logical and intuitive, allowing customers to move easily between machinery types, parts and groundcare categories. Collection pages were restructured to improve clarity, while heading hierarchies were implemented correctly across product categories to strengthen search engine understanding and enhance visibility.

Search engine optimisation was built into the project from the outset. Collection-level content was refined to target relevant agricultural search terms, page titles and metadata were aligned with customer intent, and technical SEO foundations were properly configured to support long-term performance.

We also reviewed and updated McCord Machinery’s Google Business Profile, strengthening their presence in local search results and ensuring consistent business information across search and map listings.

The results following the launch have been significant.

Between January 2025 and January 2026, the site achieved:

118,000 sessions – up 85%
Total sales – up 212%
Orders – up 163%
Conversion rate – up to 53%

The platform now provides a clear, structured online store that reflects the professionalism and scale of the business itself. Customers can navigate confidently, search visibility continues to improve and the digital infrastructure is firmly in place for continued growth.
