The charity required a website that would act as both an information hub and a welcoming point of contact for those seeking support. The design needed to communicate warmth, empathy and trust, while making it easy for visitors to find information, donate, fundraise or reach out for help.
Because many visitors may be navigating the site during a sensitive or emotional time, clarity and simplicity were key priorities throughout the design process.
The visual style of the website is built around the charity’s calm and reassuring colour palette, incorporating soft light blues alongside pastel purples and pinks. These tones help create a gentle and supportive atmosphere that aligns with the organisation’s mission.
To further reinforce this welcoming feel, the interface uses rounded corners and softer design elements throughout the layout. Strong black tones were intentionally avoided, with darker greys used instead to maintain contrast while keeping the overall appearance approachable and calm.
The website structure focuses on making key actions simple and accessible. Visitors can easily learn about the charity’s work, find ways to donate or fundraise, and access support services.
