Because Amici is such a popular venue, the website needed to serve two main purposes. It had to showcase the restaurant and its atmosphere in a visually appealing way, while also streamlining the booking process so that staff would spend less time managing phone enquiries and reservation questions.
The design therefore focused on clarity, simplicity and strong visual presentation.
The visual style of the website uses a dark, modern aesthetic that mirrors the feel of the restaurant itself. A deep blue background creates a bold and striking appearance while allowing photography, typography and menu content to stand out clearly. This approach gives the site a polished and contemporary feel that matches the dining experience.
High-quality photography plays an important role throughout the design. Images of the restaurant interior, food and surrounding coastline help communicate the atmosphere of the venue, while drone imagery provides a sense of location along the North Coast.
The site also includes clearly structured sections for food menus and pricing, allowing visitors to easily browse the restaurant’s offerings before making a reservation.
A key part of the project was integrating the online booking system in a way that makes the process clear for customers and efficient for the restaurant team. The booking system includes helpful pop-up notices outlining important information such as reservation times, policies and terms and conditions. By presenting these details during the booking process, the system reduces confusion and helps minimise the number of phone calls and manual queries the restaurant receives.
To further streamline administration, the website also includes a dedicated form for cancellations. This allows customers to notify the restaurant quickly and easily, helping staff manage table availability more effectively.
The result is a website that reflects the style and quality of Amici Ristorante while also supporting the operational side of a busy restaurant – ensuring guests can quickly explore the menu, understand the booking process and secure their table.
